On 2018/02/07 I gave my "resignation letter from service" to KPMG: Sri Lanka.
I signed my contract with KPMG Sri Lanka on 1st February 2016 to 31st January 2018. This contract was a period of training as a "trainee associate" in the audit firm.
I used a resignation letter as a template given from a senior to me at my workplace.
According to Merriam-Webster.Com dictionary...
Definition of resignation is,
1. a. an act or instance of resigning something: surrender
b. formal notification of resigning
2. The quality or state of being resigned: Submissiveness
Definition of Resign is,
Intransitive verb
1. To give up one's office or position: Quit
Resigning from KPMG Sri Lanka was a high-risk decision making from me. Though I was graduated in December 2017, and already got completed with my Intermediate in Applied Banking and Finance (IABF) at Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka (IBSL) and also now a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians of Sri Lanka (AAT - Sri Lanka) I had no job ready for me outside in the industry once I left KPMG Sri Lanka.
And by far finding a job has been one of the hardest things to do currently as an unemployed person in Sri Lanka.
So my kind advice to anyone who reads this is to not take risks like that.
Find a job prior to the resignation submission and then make your move.
